Salmon & Steelhead Fishing on the Southern Oregon Coast

Spring Chinook

Beginning about the first of March and running into the middle of June the Rogue River has one of the best Spring Chinook runs on the Oregon coast. These fish are noted as  the best eating of all the salmon. Hard fighting- fresh out of the Pacific Ocean- nothing beats a Rogue River Spring Chinook.

Summer Chinook

Rogue Bay

Starting in July when the Rogue River Fall Chinook begin entering the river we troll in the estuary using a variety of baits and spinner combinations. The fish are barely out of the ocean and schooling at the mouth of the Rogue. This can be some of the best fishing of the year. These fish run from 15 to 50 pounds and some bigger.
