Winter Chinook Oregon's Rogue River Spring Chinook are world famous for their hard fighting and great eating. They are by far the best eating Chinook Salmon of all the species. The Winter Run on the Rogue River usually starts sometime in October, but really doesn't really get going until mid- November. It will usually run into mid December depending on the water flow. The best fishing is after a good spring rain. Spring Chinook fishing on the Rogue is done in covered-heated jet-boats. We anchor in a "good spot" and wait for the fast moving "Winter Salmon" to come to us. It is not uncommon for these fish to travel upriver 10 miles a day. This is a fishery for all ages, great for the wife and kids, lots of R&R. And Breakfast on the Boat! For Reservations call:
